Canoxidin^® is an innovative solution designed to prevent the risks of complications associated with urological medical devices such as double catheters J, Foley probes, nephrotomies or urostomies.

Canoxidin^® combines the action of an acidifier, L-methionin, with crystallization inhibitors such as phytates and teobromin. Acidification is necessary to compensate for the alkalinization of the pH of the urine, naturally associated with the installation of permanent or semi-permanent urological devices.

Maintaining the pH of the urine in an acid range promotes the generation of nitric oxide, a bactericidal molecule. The increased concentration of inhibitors in the urine prevents the crystallization and deposition of calcium and uric acid crystals on the internal and external surfaces of the urological device.
